DONATION OF MATERNAL MILK TO EXPECTANT WOMEN AND MOTHERS

Mrs. Eunice Ortom, Wife of the Governor of Benue State today, paid a visit to the Federal Medical Centre, Apir and Family Support Programme

Clinic, Makurdi, where she donated FRISOMUM Gold Milk for Pregnant and Lactating Women provided by Wife of the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs. Aisha Mohammadu Buhari.
Her Excellency explained that the nutritional needs of a pregnant mum increases because of the nutritional demands of her baby. She maintained that maternal milk with Prebiotics and Probiotics, supports mums’ gut health and minimizes constipation. It also contains a mix of essential nutrients such as folic acid, iron, calcium, dietary fibre, DHA and AA to support mums’ changing needs during pregnancy and to provide a good foundation for your growing child.
The Governor's Wife maintained that there is no other alternative to maternal care for pregnant women and what FMC and FSP Clinic are doing in the prevention of maternal and child mortality is highly commendable. She recalled personally being a beneficiary of the services of FSP during her second born.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dr. Mrs. Ezeobi Perpetua expressed appreciation for the gesture.
