BREAKDOWN OF 12.9BN SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET PASSED BY BENUE ASSEMBLY

The Benue State House of Assembly has passed the Supplementary appropriation bill of N12,940,350,511.50, earlier sent to it by Governor Samuel Ortom.
With the passage of the bill, the State budget now stands at N110,893,476,515.00, as against the sum of N97,952,126,303.00 earlier passed by the previous Assembly.
Cited as Supplementary Finance and Appropriation bill, 2015, the bill is made up of N12,940,350,511.50, for Supplementary Revenue, N1,686,000,000.00, is for Recurrent Supplementary, while Capital Supplementary is made up of N11,254,350,512.00
The bill was passed following a clause by clause consideration in the Committee of Supply presided over by the Speaker, Mr. Terkimbi Ikyange.
According to the Supplementary bill, the sum of N3 billion is for the Ministry of Finance, N2.2 billion for State Universal Basic Education Board, N11 billion for the office of the Secretary to the State Government, N1.15 billion for Health ministry, N456 million for the Benue state House of Assembly and N317,500 for Benue state Agriculture and Rural Development Agency.
Others to benefit from the Supplementary appropriation are, Akperan Orshi Collage of Agriculture, Yandev, N100 million, N560 for MDGS, N500 million for Works and Transport, N176,590,000 is for Benue State Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (BERWASA), and N270 million for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
