Tinubu Undermined the Tiv People

Prominent leaders of the Tiv nation have accused Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), of belittling individuals from the ethnic nationality.
Daily Post reports that they also condemned him for humiliating the names of prized personalities who have passed on in service to the nation into needless power brawl.
The daughter of the late Godwin Daboh and renowned lawyer, Eva Daboh-Aondo, in a press statement released in Lafia criticized the “unfortunate comments” by APC leader, that was aimed at disapproving him and later Tiv leaders.

She said: “Senator Bola Tinubu, who is supposed to be a man of decorum, undermined the Tiv people by his negative comments without regards to the political support he has enjoyed among prominent Tiv sons like Senators Iorchia Ayu and George Akume. His perception of our late father is clearly based on misinformation and misconception.’’
”When our late father was alive, he had profound regards for Senator Tinubu and it is puzzling how he could so hurt an entire race without recourse to mutual respect.”
It would be recalled that Tinubu had in recent answer to, defined the ex-senator as “an individual with no shred of reputation and a political pariah in his home state”.
On his own turn Tinubu said: “No one should pay former Senator Waku any attention. We know when he is broke and needs a quick fix.”

“What he has said is fit for the trash. Waku is Godwin Daboh resurrected. No one should dignify Waku’s tales by moonlight with any attention or ever take him seriously. For any serious individual with a reputation to protect, Waku is a very poor hire,” he added.
